Is the story in profecies similar to factions/NF?
Hi!
My english is not so good, so please don't flame me. I just wondered if the storyline in profecies have anything to do with the story in factions. Cause, i have 3 lvl 20 in pro that have come to Iron Mines of moladrue, but i think about buying factions. Should i buy it, or should i complete pro before i do that? Is there an entirely new storyline in factions, or do it continue where pro ended? Looking forward to quick answers! |

It is an entirely different storyline. The two storylines take place simultaneously but are not really connected. The only connection really is why they each happen and that is revealed in Nightfall.

You did not mention Nightfall so I am not sure if you are planning on picking up the games in the order they came out or just plan to purchase one more game. In my opinion if you were only going to purchase one more game I would suggest Nightfall over Factions. The addition of the heroes in Nightfall as well as the missions are superior to those in Factions and you lose very little in the tie in for all three games.
That being said, the Ritualist is an incrediblely powerful character when played well and does make Factions a bit more attractive than the missions and storyline do. As far as the timing of when to purchase the next game, picking one up at this point may distract you from finishing Prophecies but will not ruin the story line in Prophecies. If you are at Iron Mines you still have quite a bit of the game to play and it is worth playing it to the end. You will get a lot of different opinions here but maybe they will help you in your decision. There really is not a wrong choice here. Have fun in the game! |

By the way, in what chapter is the Urgoz Warren?
Is it hard to come there? |

After Thunderhead Keep, you only have one quest and 3 missions to go until you're finished Prophecies. LOTS of elite skills to cap in the end missions, so make sure you read up on wiki where to find yours.
Urgoz's Warren is in Factions, and if you are a foreign character, you do around half the game (which is WAAAY shorter than either Proph or NF by the way) to get access to it. To get there, all you need to do is a) grab a ferry to the Warren by a controlling alliance member of House zu Heltzer, or b) turn in 1k Kurzick faction to gain a scroll for access. Have fun! |

You can check out the storylines (and game features) on the Official Wiki at http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Main_Page
With yesterday's update, you can also access the wiki by typing /wiki in the chat window. It's the new in-game help feature. As to where to find the elite capture sites for your character(s) other than the wiki, my best resource has been the program offered in our Community Works section http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10106484 It shows you where each boss is found and what elite and/or green he carries. You can keep a record for each character, so you don't forget which ones you still need.

Ok, thank you for answering!
I think i do it this way: 1: Finish pro (ive come to the vulcano island!) 2: Do some FoW and cap skills and get better. If im not wrong, there's still a lot more gameplay in Pro when i have finished all the missions? What can i do after ive finished those missions? Im not interessted in PvP. 3: Buy factions. 4: Start a new char there. 5: Play it! |

And on top of that, after you finish the Prophecies storyline you will also unlock hard mode for Prophecies. You can go back and do all the missions again and face much tougher monsters for a bigger challenge. |
